  • Dairy Cattle - Monday, July 29
  • Poultry (chickens, waterfowl, turkeys, pigeons and rabbits) - Wednesday, July 31
  • Swine - Monday, Aug. 5
  • Sheep - Monday, Aug. 5
  • Boer Goats - Monday, Aug. 5
  • Dairy Goats - Monday, Aug. 5
  • Llamas - Monday, Aug. 5
  • Stock Dogs - Monday, Aug. 5

CATTLE IDENTIFICATION - Important information:
Beginning in 2013, cattle exhibited in Minnesota must be identified with USDA approved ID tags. For more information, please see the Minnesota Board of Animal Health.


GENERAL INFORMATION AND RULES FOR ENTRY: The open class livestock premium book and entry forms are available annually for download in early June; please check back then. Copies are also available by mail; contact the Competition Office at (651) 288-4417 and request to be placed on the open class livestock mailing list (indicate what species you are interested in showing). Exhibitors who have entered within the past three years are already included on that list.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Until the premium book is posted, please consider the dates and times on this page to be tentative.

ONLINE REGISTRATION: Registration and payment for entries online will be available for all divisions beginning the Monday following Father's Day (June 17). Online registration will absolutely close on each division's entry closing date at 4:30 p.m. No late entries may be submitted via the online registration process. Entries may also be submitted via mail.
