STATE FAIR AMATEUR TALENT CONTEST

The contest begins with auditions held at the fairgrounds in late July. Acts selected during the audition process compete in the semifinals on the Bandshell stage during the first 10 days of the fair. First place winners of each individual semifinal competition progress to the finals held on Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. in the Grandstand.

COUNTY FAIR TALENT CONTEST

County fairs throughout the State of Minnesota are invited to send winners of their amateur talent contests to the State Fair competition. Semifinals are held the first nine evenings on the Family Fair Stage in Baldwin Park with the nightly first place winners progessing to the finals. The first and second place finals winners in each division become finalists in the overall talent competition on Sept. 6 in the Grandstand.
