2025 K-12 Competition

The K-12 Technology and Engineering competition showcases exhibits created and developed by students enrolled in technology and engineering classes in any Minnesota school. Classes in this competition are separated by grade level and include photography, robotics, woodworking, computer graphics and much more. There are also classes for group projects.

Descriptions of each competition and entry rules are in the 2025 K-12 premium book which will be available in May.

REGISTRATION

  • Opens: Monday, May 6
  • Closes: Tuesday, July 29, at 4:30 p.m.

MAIL-IN REGISTRATION is available! All entries must be registered and received (not postmarked) by Tuesday, July 29, at 4:30 p.m.

  1. Include with entry: 1) first name, last name, address and phone number; 2) list of class number(s) and a description of exhibit for each entry. Student name MUST be on project.
  2. Mail to: Competition Department – c/o: K-12 Competition, Minnesota State Fair, 1265 Snelling Ave. N., St. Paul, MN 55108.
  3. Paper confirmation of registered classes will be sent via USPS only if received prior to Aug. 1.

Note: Fragile items should be sent with care and extra packaging materials. The fair is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

EXHIBIT DELIVERY & RETURN

  • DELIVERY
    • Monday, Aug. 11, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Tuesday, Aug. 12, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • RETURN
    • Wednesday, Sept. 3, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Thursday, Sept, 4, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Exhibits must be picked up from Education building, no exhibits will be release without entry form receipt.

RESULTS

2025 results will be posted as they become available.
