Daily Parade Participants

The State Fair Parade begins at 2 p.m. daily. The parade features the high school marching band competition, floats, animals, specialty units, and visiting royalty. All information is subject to change.

If you wish to be part of the daily parade, please fill out an application and email to parade@mnstatefair.org.

Visiting Royalty

The Minnesota State Fair provides a Visiting Royalty Trolley for royal ambassadors from Minnesota and Western Wisconsin to ride during the daily parade. Seating on the trolley is limited, so advance reservations are required. Online reservations open on June 13. Deadline for reservations is at 5 p.m. on Aug. 1 or when the trolley schedule reaches capacity, whichever comes first.

Marching Band Competition

High school marching bands perform in the Minnesota State Fair Marching Band Competition during the State Fair Daily Parade. The exhibition area is located on Cosgrove Street between the northwest corner of the Administration Building and the south side of Dan Patch Avenue. Check out a State Fair map.

The Parade Route

The 14-block parade route begins near the Haunted House, goes north on Cosgrove Street, west on Randall Avenue, and south on Underwood Street ending just south of the Haunted House. See a State Fair map for the route. Parade units are announced at the Leinie Lodge Bandshell and the east side of Baldwin Park across from the Fine Arts Center.
