Do I need an admission ticket in addition to my Grandstand concert ticket?

Yes, you do. Everyone entering the fairgrounds must present a valid ticket of admission, including those attending Grandstand concerts. Concert tickets do not include admission to the fair.

Where can I buy Grandstand tickets?

Grandstand tickets can be purchased pre-fair online, over the phone and in-person. For in-person sales, the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office is open at 1640 Como Ave. only during summer months. Please visit our admission ticket page for ticket office hours. During the fair, purchase Grandstand tickets online or at the Grandstand ticket booth located at the East Grandstand Plaza (subject to availability). Phone sales are not available during the 12 days of the fair. Learn more.

If you select mobile ticket delivery when you purchased your tickets online, your phone is your ticket. If you purchase more than one ticket, we strongly encourage you to send a ticket to each member in your party before arriving at the venue. Learn more.

Where can I find a seating chart?

The seating configuration and pricing changes from show to show, so each night has its own seating chart. Visit each artist’s page on our website to check out the most accurate seating chart.

For all ticketed Grandstand events, all children two years of age and older must have a ticket. Children under the age of two will be allowed entry without a ticket, however, they are required to sit on the lap of a ticket holder.

What happens if there’s inclement weather?

All concerts go on, rain or shine. Minnesota State Fair officials have created an extensive Grandstand inclement weather plan. Learn more about inclement weather at the fairgrounds. Official updates will also be posted on the Updates page of the State Fair’s website.

Can I smoke in the Grandstand concert venue?

Smoking is not allowed in the Grandstand seating areas. Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes and vape pens) is allowed on the plaza level of the east and west ends behind the white lines. Ask an usher for further direction.

Which items are prohibited in the Grandstand concert venue?

View the full list of prohibited items on our Allowed & Prohibited Items FAQ page.

Is it safe to buy tickets from a third party?

Official Grandstand tickets are sold only by the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office and Etix.com. We are not able to assist with tickets purchased from third-party sellers and cannot guarantee that those tickets are valid.

What is the refund/exchange policy?

There are no refunds or exchanges. If a concert is delayed due to weather or any other circumstance, no refunds will be issued. If the concert is rescheduled or canceled, Etix will email ticket purchasers with further information. Ticket holder agrees to comply with all Minnesota State Fair policies and protocols (including health, safety and security) in place at the time of the State Fair, and acknowledges that policies and protocols may be updated between time of ticket purchase and the State Fair, as the State Fair finalizes its plans.
