Visitors headed to the Minnesota State Fair certainly won’t find a shortage of shopping, specialty merchants and unique artisans. From goods, gadgets and gear to crafts, collectibles and confections, the hundreds of vendors on the fairgrounds offer exceptional merchandise and stellar savings. Located on the east side of Cosgrove Street between Wright and Dan Patch avenues
After perusing the ribbon-winning baked and canned goods in the Creative Activities Building, head back to the Creative Activities Annex to find the latest in gourmet cooking and baking, along with many other boutique-style vendors. From specialty food (maple syrup, lefse, cheese, pasta, snacks and dips) to culinary and baking gadgets, cutlery and cookware, your kitchen could be fully stocked after a visit to the Creative Activities Annex. Younger fair visitors will be excited to find children’s books, doll clothing and accessories. Find home décor aplenty, too!

The Dairy Building is much more than malts and butter sculptures (but those are great, too)! Step inside and find home improvement merchandise and services, farm supplies, outdoor products such as fishing gear, apparel, kayaks, paddle boards and tools. Also, browse through some of Minnesota’s wool and our great state’s best agricultural products.

Family Fair at Baldwin Park offers families and guests of all ages plenty to shop for. Many apparel options are available for the whole family, and vendors offer a great deal of accessories including bags and purses, wallets, hats, flip-flops and sunglasses. For the little fair guests in your party, Family Fair at Baldwin Park has hand-crafted puppets and plush toys.

Sports lovers will find everything necessary to deck themselves out in their favorite local teams’ regalia. The Timberwolves, Lynx, United FC, Vixen, RollerGirls, the St. Paul Saints and more sell jerseys, hats, other apparel and themed memorabilia to bring out the sports fanatic in all of us.

Luggage and travel bags, fossils and minerals, glassware and pottery, herbs and nutrients for the health-conscious, barn boots, waterproof clogs, lit and handcrafted metal signs, children’s books and toys, clip-on sunglasses, rugs, fur products, kitchen gadgets and home goods, camping and outdoor gear, log furniture and more are available here. And yes, it’s a Warner Coliseum tradition that you’ll find the best in western wear, and custom agricultural gear embroidery, boots and accessories. The Merchandise Mart offers a wide variety of shopping for each and every fair guest. Home improvement lovers will discover the latest and greatest bathroom and kitchen technologies, along with goods for lawn and garden such as sprayers, sprinklers and lawn furniture. Other home goods available include kitchen gadgets, decorations and framed art, and cleaning supplies like mops, brooms and special cloths. There are plenty of options for the littlest fair guests, too — plush toys, kids clothing and costumes and remote-controlled cars and helicopters. Cell phone accessories, crafting supplies, jewelry, sunglasses, beauty products and everything in between can also be found in the Merch Mart.

A stop at the Pet Pavilions at the North End is sure to keep your furry family members happy with plenty of treats, pet clothing, toys and animal furniture. Don’t forget a leash, collar, I.D. tag, kennel, grooming tools and cleaning products for homes with pets. And for the animal lover in us all, find animal-themed T-shirts and other clothing.
Located at the west end of the fairgrounds, northwest of the corner of West Dan Patch Avenue and Liggett Street
West End Market is a stellar shopping destination featuring fine handmade goods and the latest in up-cycled products — hand-woven baskets, jewelry including spoon and personalized rings, handbags, pottery, glass art, face and body soaps, rugs, couture aprons, leather goods and wooden canes. Find up-cycled products at West End Market like candles in recycled bottles and cans, lamps salvaged from American factory parts, decorative wooden signs, hand-carved wooden sculptures, birdhouses made of salvaged wood, and the list goes on. Additionally, seed jewelry, decorative light switch cover plates, Christmas décor, custom flags and banners, children’s toys, original artwork, artisan clothing and jewelry, gourmet seasonings, Minnesota-themed T-shirts and a myriad of other products can be found in this quaint fairgrounds neighborhood.
