This X account tweets official Minnesota State Fair news, special announcements and other newsworthy fair happenings intended for media use only. These tweets will streamline the process of disseminating information, especially during times with breaking news. All official updates will be posted via this account. The account is protected and requires members of the media to send a "follow" request via the @MSFMedia account.

The Minnesota State Fair is one of the largest and best-attended expositions in the world. Showcasing Minnesota’s finest agriculture, art and industry, the Great Minnesota Get-Together is 12 Days of Fun Ending Labor Day. The Minnesota State Fair is financially self-supporting and does not receive government funding. Revenue from ticket sales, percentages and fees paid by vendors, facility rental, sponsorships and other sources brings the fair to life - powering memorable experiences, world-class year-round operations, and exceptional care of the historic fairgrounds. The fair’s website has a section called “Updates” where the fair will publish official statements (that may not be in a news release form), breaking news, the latest information about what’s new and changed, parking updates and how to make the most of a visit to the Great Minnesota Get-Together. It is updated throughout the summer as well as during the 12 days of the fair and can be found at mnstatefair.org/updates/.
